Here is one of a pair of my Mother's Pyrex flameware double boiler, with stainless steel bands holding the glass handles on 2 saucepans with one fitting inside the other to create the Double Boiler. My Mother always said that this is "absolutely necessary" if you want to make 7 minute frosting. The double boiler is 8" high with the lid on. 12" wide with the handle. 6" in
